Our rates and sessions

We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm with flexible start and end times. 

Children may enrol for half days, full days, or a mix of these. Our only requirement is that your child attends a minimum of 2 days per week to build and maintain whanaunatanga (belonging). 

Start times: 8am or 8.30am (for morning and full day sessions) or 1pm (for afternoon sessions).

End times: 1pm (for morning sessions) or 3pm, 3.30pm or 4pm (for afternoon and full day sessions).

Holidays

We are closed on public holidays and for 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year break. We are also closed for the first week of each of the term 1, 2 and 3 school holidays. No fees are charged when we are closed for holidays.

Rates

We charge an hourly rate, so you only pay for the hours that your child is enrolled, rather than a full day fee. 

As a not-for-profit organisation we aim to keep fees as low as possible while providing high-quality education for your children.

Session rates

Up to 20 hours may be covered under the Ministry of Education's 20 hours ECE policy. For hours outside of this our rates are:

$9.50 an hour

For example, if your 4-year-old is enrolled 8.30am to 3.30pm, using 6 hours of free ECE, then you will pay for 1 hour @ $9.50/hour, and the optional $10 charge.

20 Hours ECE

Under the Ministry of Education's Early Childhood Education 20 Hours ECE scheme, we are able to offer 3- and 4-year-olds 20 hours free education each week. Up to 6 hours of this can be used each day. 

We ask that parents using these hours pay a small optional charge of $10 per day of attendance to allow the preschool to provide 100% qualified teachers and create the most stimulating environment possible for the children.

The 20 Hours ECE is also available to 5-year-olds with special education needs and on a formal ‘transition to school’ plan.

Other subsidies and rebates

You may be able to access an additional Childcare Subsidy (CCS) through Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ) if you meet funding criteria.

FamilyBoost allows eligible families to claim up to 25% of their childcare fees. This rebate is available to families with a household income under $180,000 and is accessed through IRD.
